ProgramCritique.com Review:

Going out to shop is a great experience for most people and the few who do not enjoy is as much do it as a necessity. Virtually everyone shops. However, if you were getting paid to shop would make the whole experience even more thrilling. This is what mystery shopping is all about. Now, it is not as mysterious as it sounds but most large corporate who run retail stores think it well worth their while to hire mystery shoppers to give them the feedback that they might miss otherwise. Mystery shopping is a great part-time or full-time way to make good money and even earn free meals worth a thousand dollars.

Today’s age is the time of the consumer. There is tremendous competition in every field and a customer’s satisfaction is the only way a business can keep itself running. There are grave ways in which an unhappy customer can influence your business. Studies show that 80% of unhappy customers are likely to tell ten to twenty people about their single bad experience. Any business thrives on word-of-mouth advertising and this complaint will not help matters. Besides, it is five times harder to attract a new customer than keep an old one faithful. With so much at stake, many companies hire secret shoppers or mystery shoppers who give them feedback on how a store is operating and whether customers can be satisfied there. This profession needs no real training. All you need is an eye for detail, an open perceptive and judgmental mind as well as an uncanny desire to shop!

With these qualifications, you can run a search on mystery shopping on any search engine and sign up with agencies that shop up. Though most of the application and correspondence in this line is through the Internet, you might still see some ads in newspapers wanting mystery shoppers. When applying to any agency you must be careful that your applications are well written and have no errors or typos. You should also state your experience, if any, in the field. When you get the post, you will largely correspond through the web. When you go out mystery shopping carry a small notepad with you but do not make notes in the open. In addition, you must finish the paperwork diligently and quickly since that is what counts and memory is likely to fade soon. If your perception is clear, you might be able to suggest that can help boost businesses. In addition, you can shop while you work!
