ProgramCritique.com Review:

A Maxous membership entails you to a discount while buying a product or service. They do not disclose the exact rebate you can get but you get a discount at various places. They have tied up with a network of companies that offer their members a discount.  People are induced to join Maxous and the associate network companies may acquire new customers.

Edgardo (Eddie) Vélez is the CEO of Maxous. Maxous operates from Florida and started functioning in November 2004. Only members can avail of their schemes. Maxous offers membership to individuals, groups, associations, direct-marketing firms, financial institutions, employer organizations and affinity groups. The members derive maximum benefits from “group buying”. Maxous uses the group buying influence to negotiate best prices fro members.

To quote Eddie Velez on the benefits offered by Maxous, “While many programs offer savings, few, if any, offer a comprehensive package that affects one’s budget as a whole. After all, a legal, healthcare or travel program, on its own, only provides savings if you need those services. If you don’t need a lawyer, are healthy and don’t travel often, are they really providing financial relief, or are they just another bill?”. “Maxous put together a comprehensive solution, starting as low as $19.99 per family, that allows one to save on daily needs like lunch, car repairs and maintenance, movies, haircuts, entertainment and leisure; while also providing for those eventual costly needs like doctors, hospitals, dentists and more.”

People however, opine that the Maxous memberships are costly at $50 a month. In addition, you can avail discounts only at specified places. Only a heavy shopper benefits the most. Therefore, if you do not have an affiliated store in your vicinity, it would mean that you spend money to travel. Therefore, it is better to analyze your shopping and purchasing power and weigh all options before joining up. You are the best person to judge, as you decide how to spend your money.
