There are internal promotional gifts and external promotional gifts. Internal gifts are for your company’s employees and these gifts play their part in boosting the morale and loyalty of your employees. The external promotional gifts are for your potential customers.

You should always select a promotional gift that has a direct impact on your potential new customer or the person with which you are about to make a deal. Knowing your client or buyer is very important in selection of the right promotional gift.

Always keep this in mind that a buyer may not be the owner of the company he is representing and he may have his own agenda to deal with you. You should know what he is expecting from your company or what product or services he is looking for and accordingly you should arrange for the perfect promotional gift.

You should always give promotional gifts, which have the value complementing the profits you are about to get from your new customers. For example, if you are selling cars, then a pen would be of little value in comparison to the profit you would get from a new customer. In this case, a free car stereo or insurance for one year would be a better promotional gift and it will have a huge value for your potential new clients.

You should always remember your customers’ likes and dislikes when giving away promotional gifts to them. You are thinking that it is very difficult, but it is very simple. Since, during your association with your customers you come to know a lot about their interests and likes. You come to know if they are dog lovers, sportspersons, health freaks, etc.

When you give promotional gifts to your customers, take note of these things about them and select your gifts accordingly so that your customers always keep up business with you.

For example, for a wine loving customer a bottle of French wine would be a great choice as a promotional gift. For a sporty customer a gift pack of health drinks would be fine.

While choosing perfect promotional gift for every customer you should also take care of packaging and select a packaging, which is in tune with their likes.

You should take care of these little things when giving the promotional gifts to your existing and new customers.
