Although Dolf De Roos studied electrical engineering at the University of Canterbury and went on to earn his PhD in engineering, he was more interested in the real estate business than engineering. He studied rich people and realized that despite the differences of age, creed, sex, education, or origin of country, they all had a common way of making money. They either invested in real estate or earned money through real estate. This encouraged Dolf to invest in real estate even as a student. After his PhD, he received a job offer for $32,000 per year whereas he had just finished a real estate deal for $35,000. Thereafter, he has never taken up any job. He has real estate holdings in many countries and hence, considers himself a global citizen.

Dolf De Roos is the chairperson of a public company he set up in the nineties, Property Ventures Limited. This novel investment company has many real estate holdings ranging from sky-rise apartment buildings, commercial, industrial and hospitality buildings to huge vineyards. However, of late the company does not seem to exist. Dolf has a great passion for real estate. He has put down most of his knowledge into books and CDs. Many of his famous books are the 4-Step Real Estate System, The Property Investor's School, and Real Estate Riches: How to Become Rich Using Your Banker's Money.

In Real Estate Riches, Dolf De Roos explains real estate in simple terms and divulges different secrets of acquiring and holding on to real estate. The Property Investor's School is according to its name; Dolf explains all the basics of real estate dealings and then proceeds into advanced techniques. Various guidelines to select, negotiate, finance, buy and then manage properties are present in this book. You also get to understand many other issues like taxes, asset protection, offshore investments and varied small doubts by reading this book. Dolf is sure to train you to become a successful real estate investor. One of his software programs can help you analyze and manage real estate investments.

4-Step Real Estate System explains real estate investing in four easy and simple steps. Dolf De Roos also holds seminars the world over with many public seminars in New Zealand, Australia, North America, Asia, and Europe. He also regularly appears on television and radio talk shows and debates and addresses many investors’ conferences. He has trained and held many mentoring classes for real estate agents, sharing his investment strategies. Dolf has also held audiences and lectures with Robert Kiyosaki.
