The scam involves posing as a seller for an item that doesn’t exist and then billing a potential buyer for the same without making a delivery of the above non-existent item. The buyer loses money in the bargain. One can pose as a buyer for an item and is willing to pay more than the asking price for the item. In this case, the buyer pay through a forged check and the seller loses both the item and his money.
