Joe Sugarman is an excellent marketer and one of the top advertisers of America. His copywriting skills have changed the face and fortune of many companies. He can give excellent speeches to motivate you to market your products. He freely shares his views and experiences of direct marketing with all. Most of Joe’s experience has been through sales, direct marketing, and advertising of different products. Joe has trained and taught many entrepreneurs the ways and means of increasing their sales.
Joe is famous for his books, videos, and audios. His famous books include Advertising Secrets of the Written Word, Triggers: 30 Sales Tools You Can Use To Control the Mind of Your Prospect to Motivate, Influence and Persuade, Marketing Secrets of a Mail Order Maverick, Television Secrets for Marketing Success, and Success Forces.
Joe set up his company- JS&A Group, Inc. in the seventies at Northbrook, Illinois. He embarked on his direct marketing by initially marketing the world’s first pocket calculator. Thereafter he brought in many new electronic products like the cordless telephone, computers, and digital watches. His way of advertising for his products was unique and rather unknown in the seventies. He put up full-page ads with graphics and writings for each of his products.

Joe’s company was the sole one to use this concept for a year. Thereafter, many mail order companies copied his procedures for different products. Slowly, Joe diversified his business and forayed into BluBlocker sunglasses. The sale of these sunglasses was through mail order ads, TV info commercials, home shopping channels, direct mailings, and catalogs. His contributions to the marketing industry received many awards. He received the esteemed Maxwell Sackheim Award for his direct marketing techniques. He became Direct Marketing Man of the Year in 1979. His seminars are an attraction for many and people are willing to pay more than $3,000 to attend his seminars.
Joe is an excellent teacher and can teach marketing concepts in a simple and interesting way. He can change ordinary products into popular and enviable ones by advertising them uniquely. He always keeps notes of changing trends and tastes of consumers. Accordingly, he changes his product to suit the masses and increase his profits. Joe is a true example of perseverance even in trying times. He has consistently been successful and many a time gone against traditional marketing techniques. He never gave up his quests during failures and had immense belief in his capabilities. This helped him through difficult times and hence, success could never elude him.
