Vincent James or Vinnie James is an old marketer with a lot of knowledge about direct marketing and mail order. He was a very famous offline marketer. He had mailed around a million letters in two years in 1995. However, he was nowhere around the marketing scene until late 1999. Nevertheless, he is now into Internet marketing. He has also authored a book on direct marketing. Many are unaware of Vincent. They do not know him or even recognize his name as he was away from marketing for around three years.

Vinnie’s book on direct marketing was very motivating and inspiring, as he would write just as he was talking to you. He had his office in Phoenix. His tapes on marketing are unplanned, as he does not rehearse before taping his speeches. Most of them are very practical and very much down to earth. He used the tape as an after sale product. The tape would arrive soon after you ordered on his mail order business. He would talk about the various steps involved right from the creation of the product until you take it to the market for selling. However, he might make a few mistakes while talking about the different procedures of marketing. He sometimes curses around five to six times on the tapes. This makes his tapes more lively and interesting. 

Vinnie did not take credit cards. Although these days credit cards account for over ninety percent of sales, yet he did not find it necessary to entertain any credit cards. He could have lost much of his sales due to his non-acceptance of payments through credit cards. Many people would not bother themselves about getting a money order to pay for his books on direct marketing or for mail orders. His disappearance from the scene could be due to his earning a huge sum out of direct marketing. He might have stopped advertising and doing his mail order business as he had earned sufficient money. However, he is back into Internet marketing now as is evident from his ads in business magazines.
