What the site is
Program Critique publishes reviews, explainers and opinion about consumer technology, plus a calculator that does arithmetic you supply the numbers for. Everything here is general information and editorial judgement. We take care to be accurate, but the site is provided as it is. Prices, specifications, model availability and support windows change constantly, and an article is a snapshot of the day it was written. The repair-or-replace tool
The tool runs entirely in your browser and returns a comparison based on the figures you type and a typical service life for the category. It is a rule of thumb, not an appraisal of your device, and it cannot know its condition, its history or what the same fault will do next. Treat the result as one input into your decision.
